NAA Accelerates Innovation

Trade organization selects 2015 Accelerator Pitch finalists. Innovative solutions to be presented at NAA’s annual mediaXchange in Nashville, March 15-18.

NAA’s competition encourages innovation in the newspaper industry.  Startup companies compete to help newspaper media companies’ exploit print, digital, mobile, audience development or advertising opportunities. The seven finalists are AdHusky, BuzzBoard, Inc. Laudd, Inc., Hatchback, Okanjo, Touchcast and Trion Interactive. They will pitch a wide-ranging selection of solutions designed to, among other things, help newspaper publishers increase local ad revenue using Facebook; deepen local media prospecting and engagement; drive social buzz via content engagement; target mobile audiences via contextual data; facilitate native advertising; turn any iPad into a newsworthy digital video production studio; and optimize video advertising in mobile.
